and a little about me ...
I have written a number of walking guides and also write features about topics such as outdoor leisure, walking, weekend activities, countryside and wildlife activities, travel in the east of England and further afield.
My travels have taken me around the world and I've been lucky enough to see whale sharks in the Indian Ocean, orangutans in Borneo, the aurora borealis in Swedish Lapland. I've flown to the top of Venezuela's Angel Falls, spent a couple of weeks in Botswana collecting data for an elephant project and had a stint at working in Hong Kong. I've written features from Tonga, slept in treehouses and underwater 'hotels' but although I enjoy travelling .... I also love the simple things such as the first signs of spring, and being by the coast.
I have a BA (Hons) journalism and marketing degree and have been a freelance for around 12 years. After living in London I'm now based on the north Essex/Suffolk border.
I also write the odd celeb short and make the occasional recording for a local community radio station. Some examples are below:
